Hi. Incoming homework. I also wondered if you would like some assistance with your blood draws program. I've been doing it and put myself in here for that, but I thought it might help if we were on the same page.
I'd also like to provide contacts for two things:
Preliminary first aid—this might be a long list, but a long list is better than no list.
Helping with the transition for newly arrived AIs. Obviously Markus and Connor are the best for this, but I don't want to put them forward without their permission.
I'm not sure if there are any known issues I've overlooked. I'm new to having powers, but I don't know if we should include that as an issue. That includes our empathy links. I don't know of any medical involvement with it, sans our curing before. That's unique to us, but it might overwhelm newcomers.
Medical Care and Its Advantages in New Amsterdam
All health care here is free. They don't ask a lot of questions. First hand experience proves that exposure has not yet been a risk for the displaced. It may seem like a prime way to take advantage of us while we're at a disadvantage, but that hasn't proved true.
Not all of the displaced can go, however, and we're well aware of that. If you're uncertain about what your blood tests might show, we can do some preliminary screening among ourselves. There are those of us who are obviously inhuman or changed, so use your judgment.
Medical advances mean that healing goes twice as fast. If you break a leg, it's much faster. Medicine for sicknesses is much more effective. They can treat almost everything that comes up, so there is no reason to remain hurt or injured.
Finally, we've recently learned that medi-units are effective enough to help bring people back to life. We were told that time of death was the most important aspect. Morningstar has numerous medi-units at their disposal.
Medical Care Among the Displaced
For people who can't go to the hospital, or aren't certain, @clarke.griffin and @stephen.strange have the medical experience to help. There are numerous people among the displaced who can provide preliminary first aid. Don't hesitate to ask. More advanced problems should be brought to Clarke or Stephen, and Morningstar has medical supplies to assist.
Blood tests can be brought to Morningstar, but Clarke and @katelin.phillips can draw blood.
Other Known Issues
AI tend to be given human bodies. So far, these bodies are universal donors. If you've recently arrived and are formerly an AI, we would like to confirm that this trend continues. We understand if you would rather not.
Everyone who had powers before lacks them now. Noted pain when attempting to access them.
Known aliens are still alien according to their DNA. Noted differences in blood tests while observing DNA.
[Clarke's reply is only delayed because she doesn't know what yoga is, not really. Not beyond it being a conceptual thing that she's vaguely aware of.]
No. And I don't get why it's glib. I come from a pretty distinct timeline, if you recall. [Apocalypse, etc.]

[ that's the first reaction. a moment later: ]
yes on the blood draw, definitely
i'm just one person, so another pair of hands and eyes would be great
and someone else to think along
this is really good
i'll check with markus and connor if they mind their names being included in the list

I did say I had a hard time with being late on these things, and technically I was. But ... well, we all would be, wouldn't we?
Let me know if you need me to round anything up from anyone else.
no subject
but i appreciate that you didn't forget about it
i'll give everyone a bit more time before any rounding up happens

have you ever tried yoga?

No. And I don't get why it's glib. I come from a pretty distinct timeline, if you recall. [Apocalypse, etc.]
Do you think it'd help?
no subject
i go on a run every other day to one of the skygarden park things and then do some yoga there
you're welcome to join me to try it?
no subject
More the yoga than the running. I'm not much of a runner.
