Not overly familiar, no. But Dr. Stephen Strange is here, the famous neurosurgeon. I read some of his stuff after brain injury. He's most likely from the same universe. I'm 90% sure I spotted Stark walking around the safehouse. There's Thor from a similar universe. Loki could be from the same or a similar universe.
Strange knows Stark. Strange was on a bloodly spaceship with Stark! And Spider-Man! He's another known powered individual, associated with the Avengers. And he just told me. Should I tell him that I'm, y'know? I think he suspects. Why would he say anything, otherwise?
[ not quite?? unless things have changed since she's apparently gone off the grid. she'd like to say that she can't imagine life without shield, but the truth is that she cares more about its ideals than the organisation as such and besides, there doesn't seem to be a shield here. ]
[ eh, he's unnecessarily dramatic, especially without jemma here to talk him down. ]
Yeah, no, you're probably right. I think I'm just off-kilter. A lot of these advances. The wetware cybernetics, tinkering with people's powers, if we were in our universe, they'd have my fingerprints all over them.
[ even if they’re not as close as they were, with spacetime stuck between them, she’s still his dear friend, and he’s grateful for her strength here with him. ]

[ He and Jemma have done a great deal of research in the area because, well, needs must. ]
makes this thread current bc time is a construct

But it might also paint a target on your back.
[ a second later: ]
Go for it.

I think I paint a target on my back whenever I open my mouth.
[ he talks too much and too... erratically, as of late. a beat. ]
Thanks.

Do I need to go find a bottle of something alcoholic, something sweet to eat and a quiet spot for us somewhere in the near future?

I’ll never say no to a wander and a drink.
