once that's cued up, she settles a little lower into the couch, curling one leg beneath her body and getting started on the pizza. she hasn't forgotten about the mutually assured cuddling and she - admittedly, she's looking forward to that part.
but it's probably better without pizza involved. ]

[ she's pretty confident in her movie choice. she's pretty confident in pizza and beer and dumb-action-flick movie nights as a good choice for a friday evening, too.
the movie starts and it's - exactly what they both need. dumb, mindless, not so shitty as to be unpleasant but not deep in any way. the pizza's pretty good, too.
at some point after finishing her pizza and reaching for the second beer, bobbi figures it's time for the cuddling part of the evening, too, and so when she settles back, it's against marcos' side. ]
[ she settles against him and the spot where her arm meets his warms immediately. he sighs, relaxing a little more and lets some of his weight rest against hers now. ]
You're right. [ he takes a sip of the beer that he's been resting against his thigh. ] This is really stupid.
[ and he approves. the smile on his face and the occasional amused laughter that slips out proves that. ]
[ she's confident when it comes to her movie choices, all right. she's confident - but it's nice to have the confirmation. it's nice to feel him lean back against her, to feel him relax.
it's good for him, she figures. he deserves to have an evening of not looking over his shoulders, of just relaxing and losing himself in a stupid movie. it's good for her, too. there's comfort in realising that he knows who she is, that she's been lying, and he still trusts her. (there's trust in the way he relaxes.)
[ doing something so normal, so mundane seemed so out of reach a few weeks ago and now, here he is, sitting on a couch, eating pizza and drinking beer, feeling comfortable with another person.
it's not a cure all for either of them and their respective issues but it's nice to remember that he can have this even in a futuristic hellscape like new amsterdam.

[ this isn't a fix-it-all - it's not a cure for anything, really. it changes nothing about their situation, but it's still good to take some time just to relax, just to be. to do something as utterly ordinary and mundane as have pizza and beer while watching a so-bad-it's-good action flick. ]

[ he's still battling all that, fighting it back, avoiding water for the most part and just not talking about what that had done to him but he was feeling better, at least. he could go out in public and only look over his shoulder a few times during. it wasn't such a paralyzing thing anymore. ]
